Five pillars that take water services to the next level
From the meter in your home to the payment channels in the market, the project is designed to make the experience more accurate, easier and fairer for subscribers and the directorate alike.
-
Replacing old meters with modern ones
Upgradeable meters that withstand Iraqi climate conditions and provide accurate readings aimed at rationalising water consumption.
-
Points of sale in every governorate centre and directorate
Point-of-sale devices are supplied and deployed for collection and electronic payment, with the option of placing ATMs in markets and public shops that offer the same service.
-
Electronic payment by bank card
Bills can be paid with MasterCard and Visa cards, or through electronic channels: ATMs, points of sale and smart applications.
-
Subscriber service centre (call centre)
Complaints are received and enquiries about due and paid bills are answered in the governorate centre, 24 hours a day.
-
Meter price paid by instalments
The meter price of 60,000 dinars is paid at 10,000 dinars per month for homes. Government, commercial, industrial and agricultural properties pay in one instalment, or two at most.

A gain for citizens, the directorate and the country
Citizens
Pay only for their actual consumption, pay for the meter in convenient instalments, and settle their bills at the nearest point of sale or from their phone.
The water directorate
Accurate readings and electronic receipts reduce disputes, while regular collection supports network maintenance and service development.
Water resources
A progressive tariff and oversight of waste and leaks rationalise consumption and preserve water for future generations.
